How To Remain Stylish With A Cast On

When you have a broken leg or foot, it can definitely be difficult to get dressed at all, let alone try to put on clothes that look good. But just because you have to wear a cast for the next few weeks doesn’t mean that your personal style has to go out the window. Looking great with a cast on doesn’t have to be difficult, it just requires a little planning and preparation. Below are a few ideas that can help you remain stylish and fabulous throughout your recuperation.

  • Wear Dresses: Women are often tempted to use the six weeks or so that their leg will be in a cast to walk around in sweat pants all the time. But just because you have a broken leg doesn’t mean you have to walk around like a homeless person. In fact, wearing a dress may be much more comfortable for you. Wear dresses that are simple to take on and off, like a cute shirt dress that buttons all the way down, or a flowy summer dress. Since you’re probably not able to walk around too much, order some wholesale dresses online and have them delivered straight to your door.
  • Accessorize: Accessories are fun and easy way to add some style to your outfit without having to do too much else. Put a stylish belt around your shirt dress, wear a charming ankle bracelet (on your other foot), layer beaded necklaces, put your hair in a braid and tie it with a bow, stock up on hair accessories like headbands, feathers and assorted clips. These are just a few examples of how you can accessorize, but feel free to be creative. Even if you’re just sitting around at home, putting on just one or two colorful accessories can make you feel better if you’re feeling slumpy or feel like you’re starting to get cabin fever. Have a friend pick up a few fun accessories for you if you don’t feel like going shopping, or purchase them online.
  • Get A Pedicure: With your foot in a cast, you’ll definitely be drawing attention to your feet and toes, so make sure they look good! A woman should never wear open toed shoes without having her toes polished, and this includes those that are wearing a cast. Even if you can’t get a full pedicure on the foot with the cast, you can still have it painted nicely. If you normally get simple colors on your toes, have some fun during this time when your toes are always showing. Get funky colors, designs and rhinestones, or paint every toe in a different color. You’re allowed to be a little pampered during this time, so get your mother or a friend to paint your toes for you.
